Interview with Barbie Bardot

1. Barbie, you've made waves as both a wrestler and an international model. How do you bring the confidence and charisma from your modeling career into the wrestling ring, especially when facing tough opponents like Destiny Carmichael?

Being the confident and self-assured person I am, I know what strengths I bring to the table. I’ve been a competitive cheerleader, played tennis, gymnastics, fencing—you name it. So, you could say I know how to compete. I’m not intimidated by anyone’s size because I’ve seen it all before. Destiny is a tough competitor, no matter how she got to that size, but so am I. Although I may come with this pretty façade, I can bring it when I face opponents like Destiny, Viola, Krystal, and others.

2. Club Aphrodite has quickly become a standout tag team in VWE. What is the secret behind your and Blaire Bennet's incredible chemistry, and how do you two plan to dominate the tag team division?

It’s funny because I don’t think they consider us a tag team—I think they consider us one whole entity! /laughs Honestly, I’m not surprised we’ve taken control of VWE Endurance. It’s no secret that we complement each other well, but we’ve been friends for a long time. On the surface, you see two pretty girls with athletic builds, but our backgrounds couldn’t be more different. Blaire is fast-talking and can be aggressive, while I’m more soft-spoken and tend to take a calmer approach. Because we know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, we can complement each other in any way needed for a match. That’s my sister for life.

3. As a leader in the 'Bombshell' movement, what message do you hope to convey to fans and aspiring female wrestlers about the power and beauty of being a Bombshell in the wrestling world?

As a leader, I believe variety is the spice of life, especially in SL wrestling. We have girls debuting with purple training gear and white elbow pads, and then you have girls like Angel Cole with such a distinctive look and personality. There are veterans like Krystal still flying off the top rope despite the risks, and some wrestlers who come from very different backgrounds. My message is simple: there’s room for everyone—including you and your hideous outfits!

4. The Club Aphrodite Invitational was a groundbreaking event for rookie Bombshells. What inspired you and Blaire to create this platform, and how did it feel to see Chelsea Love crowned as the newest member of Club Aphrodite?

The Club Aphrodite Invitational came about when we noticed a shift in the locker room, with more wrestlers adopting our viewpoints and even trying to emulate us. So we thought, why not look for new blood? I was injured at the time, and Blaire was feeling burnt out, so we held auditions, interviewed the contestants, and finally unveiled our final eight girls. Each one brought their own individuality and put themselves out there in a wrestling world that might not have been too welcoming. I’m proud of them and hope to see their continued success in whatever they choose. As for Chelsea Love winning, I’m still in shock and disbelief. My mother even called me in disbelief, but I can’t reveal too much! We’ll talk more about this on Sunday’s program.

5. Your feud with Destiny Carmichael has been intense and personal. What drives this rivalry, and how do you plan to finally settle the score with her, especially after so many heated encounters?

I think what drives this rivalry, speaking for myself, is that we both came around the same time. Our backgrounds and personalities couldn’t be more different. I love the finer things in life and looking gorgeous, and I believe she definitely loves to experiment with new hairstyles… But differences aside, I think it’s a testament to both our strengths and Blaire’s impact on Endurance that an entire new belt was created. For that, I am thankful because we couldn’t have done that alone. However, my praises for Destiny end there, and I can’t say when the score will be settled, but it definitely will happen, and I hope she’s thoroughly prepared for it when it comes.

6. Balancing your roles as a wrestler, model, and entertainer must be challenging. How do you manage to excel in all these areas, and what do you find most fulfilling about your diverse career?

My mother instilled a firm belief in me that I have to excel in any area I choose to partake in. Fans might discredit my looks, but I will say this once more: being pretty is a job in itself and requires effort. For some people, it requires a lot more effort. As a model, I wasn’t too tested, but it did help me understand what is entertaining and how I can be entertaining in the world of wrestling. As competitive as it is, we have fans to entertain and keep in those seats. One fan will resonate with something in us—our look, our personality, a wrestling move we happen to do that night. It’s up to us to make sure we present our best selves. That ties into the fulfillment I feel, and the Club Aphrodite Invitational kind of encapsulated that feeling.

7. The Contract on a Pole match between Chelsea Love and Gorgeous Jessie was a thrilling moment in VWE history. How did you and Blaire react to Chelsea's surprise win, and what do you think she brings to Club Aphrodite?

Well, first of all, well done, ladies, because that is the first Contract on a Pole match I’ve seen in VWE, so that is the reference now! Unfortunately, I won’t comment on anything else other than I’m proud of both ladies and what they brought to the table with such limited experience.

8. Looking ahead, what are your goals for Club Aphrodite in the coming months, and how do you plan to continue pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a Bombshell in VWE?

I want to be champion, plain and simple. That was my goal before my neck injury, and I got frustratingly close, so that’s still my goal. For Blaire and me, we’re looking forward to putting ourselves closer to the top of the women’s division and doing things differently. We have merchandise coming out, and we have some TV deals in the works. Just know that the fans will have different avenues to see us. L’exposition est tout! So keep watching us <3
