Exclusive Tea on Bombshell Insider: KC King Announces His Retirement!
We got some tea, Insiders! The SL wrestling community is buzzing with the news that KC King, a true wrestling icon and renowned videographer, has announced his retirement from filming full wrestling shows.
Hailing from Pineda De Mar, Spain, KC King has been a stalwart supporter of SL wrestling, both in and out of the ring, since 2017. Known for capturing some of the most-watched wrestling clips on his YouTube channel (@secondlifewrestling9416), KC's work has been a staple in the virtual wrestling world. He has collaborated with nearly every major promotion you can think of: BCW, DCWF, FPW, Premier Wrestling, RISE Wrestling, WPWF, SCPW, OEW, UCW—you name it, he’s shot it!
But on August 27, 2024, King took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to drop the bombshell on his nearly decade-long fanbase that he’d be stepping back from his role at OEW and would no longer record or post the company's full shows on his channel. While King did assure fans he'd still film matches featuring his "friend" Emma Grey in both OEW and BCW, the news definitely left fans shook.
In a follow-up X post, King explained his decision further, stating that no other feds fit into his available timeframe to record, which means he will no longer be producing full-show content at all. The drama within SL wrestling was also cited as a major reason for his decision to step back, though he emphasized his continued support for feds like OEW and BCW—just as an audience member this time.
We’re sad to see such a dedicated figure take a step back, but KC, your work has not gone unnoticed!
